What they wanted

Kirk Christiansen and his girlfriend Jen Norman had recently purchased their first home and needed a quick and exceptionally functional solution for their underutilized walk-in. It had to serve their individual needs and give them the flexibility they desired.

Concept

How we did it

Kirk and Jen worked with California Closets Palm Beach consultant Kelly Higgins to configure The Everyday System,™ California Closets’ modular, quick-ship storage solution designed in collaboration with Martha Stewart.

Kirk, Martha’s nephew, loved the idea of working with Kelly and Jen to maximize the closet’s potential by configuring the product with plenty of hanging space, drawers, and shelving behind metal mesh doors, and even a shared shoe tower.

The couple selected the Perry St. White Woodgrain finish and Gold metal hardware to complement the contemporary, mid-century style of their home.

Final Results

With “his” and “hers” sides, Kirk and Jen love their new closet. They can adjust the system to accommodate their wardrobes, and they can move the entire system from room to room, or to a future home.

For this couple, The Everyday System is a great investment that will serve them for years to come.

“They needed a closet design that accommodated both of their belongings—from hanging space to shoes, bags, and folded items.”

“I love the white-and-gold combo, and we added mesh doors over drawers, which look sharp!”
